Last night I made two dozen cupcakes for a birthday. For the first dozen I made a fresh strawberry cupcake. Once they cooled I filed them with fresh strawberry preserves and frosted them with an almond buttercream. Yummmm. The second dozen I made a dark chocolate mint chocolate chip cupcake and topped it with a mint buttercream and green sugar crystals.
